Special cylinders are a group of cylinders which are made to individual client’s order. In the case of non-standard cylinders, the Client can freely modify sizes, mounting, connecting ports, etc. Additionally, the cylinders of this category can be equipped with:

  • various check valves, operated check valves, safety relief valves, built-in to the base as well as in a form of a valve block placed on the body of the cylinder,
  • seals adapted to work at elevated temperatures (140˚C),
  • with an integrated piston position sensor.

SHJ1

Hydraulic cylinder with single-end piston rod mounted on bearing sleeves.

The cylinders are mounted to the object using a fixed rod eye on the base of the cylinder with an embedded cylinder sleeve (swinging mounting). Such a solution requires precise guiding of the rod in the kinematic system of the object, excluding lateral forces in a plane perpendicular to the plane of cylinder swing.

SHJ2

Hydraulic cylinder with plain bearings mounted single-end piston rod.

The cylinders are mounted to the object using a fixed rod eye on the base of the cylinder with an embedded GE slide plain bearing. This solution allows for some slight lateral angular deviations of the cylinder during operation. The permissible deviations are provided in the catalogue sheets of bearings.

SHJ3

Hydraulic cylinder with single-end piston rod mounted on the side pins.

The cylinder with swinging mounting, on the side pins. Relatively wide spacing of the cylinder mounting points (side pins) allows to treat such a cylinder as a stabilising element of the kinematic system of the object. The placement of the side pins closer to the piston rod results in the increase of the strength of the cylinder against buckling without the need to increase the diameter of the piston rod. The cylinders of this type, ended with forged or welded eye, are made for the work in especially difficult conditions in terms of robustness (shock loads).

SHJ5

Hydraulic cylinder with single-end piston rod mounted on the front flange.

Cylinders with the flanged mounting of the cylinder to the object. It is a rigid mounting (fixed mounting point of the cylinder to the object), so the end of the piston rod should be precisely guided in the kinematic system of the object to exclude lateral forces acting on the piston rod. It is recommended to use articulated mounting of the piston rod end in the kinematic system of the object (sliding plain bearing).

SHJ6

Hydraulic cylinder single-end piston rod.

Cylinders mounted to the object using the lugs that are permanently connected with the cylinder body. The performance and requirements of these cylinders are similar to those of SHJ5 cylinders.

Special cylinders – custom made

Special cylinders – often called non-standard ones – made on special order, it’s a group of the cylinders which are not included to the catalogue due to specific work conditions, requiring non-standard configuration and modification. The examples of such cylinders can be: the construction of a machine (kinematic system) and related to it limited space for the installation of cylinder, additional options such as: braking the cylinder in extreme positions, working at high pressures up to 600 bar, in-built piston position sensors, working conditions, working in elevated temperatures (special sealings), in aggressive conditions (piston coating), painting the cylinder with special paints.

These are the cylinders directed to the special requirements and needs of clients. The presented simple and legible diagrams

  • in the form of technical drawings with several parameters marked on them
  • are intended to facilitate the course of action for further works related to adapting the cylinder to the client’s needs.

SHJ2E

Single-acting hydraulic cylinder with single-end piston rod with a possibility to regulate the pressure of the seal, mounted on plain bearings.

The construction feature of the cylinders of this group is the application of cylinder head (stuffing box) bolted with the flange of bolts (hexagon socket head cap screws) to the flange welded to the cylinder sleeve. The cylinders have articulated joint of the cylinder body to the object in the form of sliding plain bearing in the rod eye of the base of the cylinder. Piston rods can be ended with external and internal threads, a forged eye or with a welded single or double fork bracket. Additionally, the cylinders can be equipped with metal covers protecting the piston rods against impacts of falling rock fragments.

SHP6

Lug mounted supporting hydraulic cylinder

Double action lug mounted cylinders. Intended for self-propelled and mobile working machines working at a standstill. Are used in the machine stabilisation system as adjustable supports. In-built hydraulic locks fix the cylinder with single-end piston rod in any pre-set position.

SHP9

Supporting hydraulic cylinder mounted on the front of the base.

Double acting cylinders mounted on the front of the base of the cylinder. The performance and requirements of these cylinders are similar to those of SHP6 cylinders. The difference is mainly in the different ways of fixing the cylinder to the object.

SHT3

Hydraulic double acting extension cylinder mounted on side pins.

Hydraulic extension cylinders mounted on side pins. The special feature of these cylinders is the fact that they are made of several cylinders of ever smaller diameter assembled into one unit. Thanks to the usage of the telescopic extension of subsequent cylinders, the multiplication of the range of the working motion is obtained. The cylinders of such type are divided into single acting hydraulic cylinders (SHTJ) and double acting hydraulic cylinders (SHTD)

SHTJ7

Hydraulic single acting extension cylinder mounted on ball-shaped pins.

Hydraulic single acting extension cylinders mounted on ball-shaped pins in the base of the cylinder. In the cylinders of this type, working factor (e.g. hydraulic oil under pressure) works on one side resulting in the extension of the individual parts of the cylinder. Their return (sliding/falling) is carried out under the influence of external force (most often under the influence of the lifted weight).

SHTD7

Hydraulic double acting extension cylinder mounted on ball-shaped pins.

Hydraulic double acting extension cylinder mounted on ball-shaped pins in the base of the cylinder. In the cylinders of this type, working motion in both directions (extension and return) is undertaken as a result of the working medium (e.g. hydraulic oil under pressure) alternately on both surfaces of the piston.

SHD6

Double acting cylinder with a lug mounted double-end piston rod.

Double acting hydraulic cylinder. They can be fastened with lugs or round flanges permanently connected to the cylinder body. The piston rods can be ended with external/internal thread or a screw-on eye with a plain bearing. The operational properties of these cylinders, depending on the version, are about extending the piston rod from one or another side of the cylinder, or if needed from both sides simultaneously.
